Reaching across church walls to reach our neighbors.
For many years, the walls of distrust and division have kept the church from being the church

Churches In Action's various member churches in the Inland Empire came together on a Saturday in October for a symposium on Human Trafficking in Spanish. Why? because next to African Americans as the leading number of victims of Human Trafficking, Latinos are 2nd. This is a blight which is truly affecting Latino families, because it is a subject many do not want to talk about.
But, if we are to truly protect our children, we must learn to speak about Human Trafficking, educate ourselves and each other.
Present were various community leaders, elected officials, law enforcement officials, parents of Human Trafficking Vicims, representatives from a myriad of support agencies, and victims of Human Trafficking.
People were truly moved and eager to do whatever they can to stem the tide of Human Trafficking.
Did you know, almost 70% of the victims are US citizens, and over 40% are minors?
